    Jimmy Shannon (Buster Keaton) je partner i unuk vlasnika brokerske firme , koji mu nakon svoje smrti ostavi oporuku u kojem će naslijediti 7 miliona dolara ako se oženi na svoj 27-mi rođendan do 7 sati uveče a pravosnažni rok pada u taj isti dan .Shannon uz pomoć svojih "kolega" partnera i advokata se daje u potragu za mladom ...

    U filmu fascinira blažena ludost Keatonovih gegova koja je grijala srca nadrealista koji se bili njegovi suvremenici, kao i fiksacija priče na broj sedam (sedam prilika za Bustera da se oženi na svoj 27.rođendan do 7. sati).

    Keatonove su najbolje i najdublje sekvence gegova dinamične i transformacijske. Cijeli svijet kao da gubi svoju formu i pred našim očima poprimi novu. U klimaksu u sceni potjere ,Bustera progoni golem čopor žena željnih osvete.Kad posrne na nekome kamenu, odjednom ga naganja cijeli svijet u obliku velike lavine. 

    Valja napomenuti da je snimljen i istoimeni remake iz 1999 godine u kojemu je glumio Chris O'Donnell.
